Mercs2 COOP Reviews

This one from ugo.com really nails it IMO:

“The full-scale destruction is truly a joy to behold, moreso now than it was before thanks to the fancy new affordances of current generation hardware. Truly, Mercenaries 2 inches ever closer towards delivering the mother of open-world sandboxes. If only there weren’t so many got-damn bugs.”

Yep we clearly have some work to do for the patch!

“The thing is, for all of the glitches, it rarely takes away from the main show: blowing crap up while going Rambo on the bad guys. It does occasionally get in the way, but never to the point that the game needs to be turned off.”

Yep. Its fun, cool – very happy!

“It is somewhat amazing then that the Mercs 2’s online component – drop-in/drop-out co-op play through entire game – functions at all. Not only does it work… it works well. Sure, you’ll see the same level of glitchery online that you do off, but there are no additional twists like lag or dropped connections to worry about. The two online mercs can travel a good distance apart from one another before the game imposes a barrier (marked on the minimap as a red zone), so there’s even space for some fairly complex coordinated assaults.”

And that right there folks is enough to make me a very proud man!
